Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness-based interventions have proven effective for treating a wide range of special needs in childhood and adolescence including: learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, executive function disorders, emotional and behavioral issues including oppositional and conduct disorders, and psychiatric disorders.

Mindfulness has also proven effective for supporting classroom staff and parents in supporting special learnings by supporting stress reduction and attuned adult-child relationships.

Mindfulness-based strategies are easily integrated into various classroom structures for all ages, providing teachers and support staff with various techniques for relaxing students, promoting on-task attention, diminishing challenging behaviors, and fostering social emotional competencies.
