Dionne Childs was born and raised in Northern California and there she discovered her interest in languages, cultures, family dynamics, sports and music. Dionne received her BA in Spanish and psychology from Oakwood College in Huntsville, AL, after completing an additional year of study in Spain and an MS in Psychology from Carlos Albizu University in Miami, FL. She is currently a student in the Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program at Argosy University.
Dionne has provided national and international volunteer services and participated in a community-based undergraduate internship in the Dominican Republic. She has received practical training in family service agencies and community mental health settings providing therapeutic intervention and psychological assessment to children, as well as psychotherapy to adults, families and groups. Dionne desires to become a psychologist who is actively involved in a community setting that strengthens the mental, social, spiritual, and physical health of the families it serves.
